I think I'd like to start DreamCasting again. Since errybody and their cousin does the DreamCasting Thing, let's play.

I wanna DreamCast a new Xanadu. We're going to take it seriously, not the ZannaDon't musical and its kind. The more seriously I take it, the better it gets.

Because, you know, now I'm going to have to pick out a new ISSF, and that's a drag. They don't fall from the sky, fully formed into the Perfect Man, you know. Jeez. You gotta watch a LOT of movies and TV and listen to a LOT of Show Soundtracks before you can add Him to the.... OOOH who's that guy in Hell On Wheels?!?!

So, last night was the Inaugural Meeting of The Bloggess' "Let's Pretend This Never Happened" Book Club. It started out on Goodreads, moved to Twitter, then some sort of chat room with noise and music, then back to Goodreads, where kindly people mentioned following each others' blogs. I dropped this one;s addy, then realized I HAVEN'T POSTED in like, forever. So. We'll try this again, shall we?

Reading the Marvel Encyclopedia

... but there are a few missing characters. For an updated, revised and expanded "Most comprehensive" guide, there are a LOT of dropped people and short entries. I mean, I know that the website has all the power stats and thorough entries, but is it too much to ask for the printed version of the resource to even have PIXIE, for cryin out loud? Especially for $45.00 USD plus tax?
Glad I checked it out of the library before I invested in this reference book. Good for a casual reader, but if you're looking for a truly complete resource for any papers, fic, or GURPS/RPG, then keep hunting/hoping, or invest in an iPad and a subscription to the complete online collection.
Conclusion? Not truly an encyclopedia, but more of an encyclopedic dictionary.

Pastafarian Sighting at Parking Garage!

Skeptic Shout-Out of the DAY!

Today, we had a LOT of people at the office for appointments who are... less than mobile. (The patients, not the appointments.)
So I decided to park on the top of the Parking Garage. Yeah, so I had to take the stairs down to my floor, but No Big Deal. Happy to do it for the cause of not making patients walk so far.

So.
End of day comes, I hike up to my car... and I see it.
A Prius.
With a Flying Spaghetti Monster on the back bumper.
You know- like this one from the DarwinFish company.

I did a double take. I'll bet the security camera footage is HI-larious.
I grabbed a scrap of paper and a pen and wrote a little note to Prius Driver, and stick it under their windshield wiper.

So, Whoo-Hoo to the PriuSkeptic from the CiviChicken (I am afraid anything on my bumper will get stolen) and hope they get a kick out of their FSM being appreciated.

And, on a totally different note- PlayReading Committee tonight.
